Little me, here are some things I want to say
Even though you may look the other way
It's my thoughts about your future
It may sound just like a lecture
Well it's unlikely that you'll hear me anyway

You don't have to say everything to be heard
Sometimes you don't have to have the last word
Honesty without tact is plain cruel
And you might make yourself out to be the fool

There's no right or wrong, only perspectives
And society influences narratives
All humans make mistakes so it's imperative
To learn how to reframe and to forgive

One day your priorities may change
And you'll have to shift the things you pre-arrange
Be less uptight about the structure
Leave a little space for some adventure
And look at the bigger picture

At the end of the day, take care of your soul
You'll make sacrifices, but don't lose your whole
Don't take advice from someone whose choices concern you
Seek out, instead, the ones you look up to
