Back to My Place

A lady came by this morning
And took a good look around
Said the markets high and it's hard to find this kinda house

With a brand new roof
And a front porch view of a five acre lot
Said she had at least 100 people that would kill for this kinda spot

Outside the city limits yes ma'am
I'll miss it but how soon can ya list it

It's been hell moving on
Since the day that she got gone
Ma'am to tell you the truth
I really don't wanna move
But I don't know what to do with all this space
I ain't asking a lot, I just can't seem to
Turn our spot back to my place

We danced every inch of those hardwoods
So I laid all new floors
But making her memory go away is getting to be more than I can afford

I painted every worn out square on the wall 3s 80s
Hell, I even took a couple out and they're still closing in

It's been hell moving on
Since the day that she got gone
Ma'am to tell you the truth
I really don't wanna move
But I don't know what to do with all this space
I ain't asking a lot, I just can't seem to
Turn our spot back to my place

I know what it's worth trust me ma'am
I can't forget
No I can't get rid of her so I guess I'll get rid of it
So take the first offer you get

It's been hell moving on
Since the day that she got gone
Ma'am to tell you the truth
I really don't wanna move
But I don't know what to do with all this space
I ain't asking a lot, I just can't seem to
Turn our spot back to my place

Back to my place
