River

I don't know what it would take to see me
Every time I look into my eyes I get a little queasy
Thinking 'bout the Hunger Games
Three times a week
'Cause things just stay in my head like
I've got a post-it factory building up inside of me

I try to explain it as best as I can
But I'm tired of writing it down
They painted Ophelia
So I don't have to say it out loud

I've got a river running right
Down my hands
Drippin' of my acrylics and I'm tryna' make me understand
Keep my place, and get a nice vase for when I
Figure it out
And figure it out
I've got a river running right
Down my hands
From the years of hard labour
That I put them through now I can
Wash my face and rest my case
Until I figure it out
And figure it out

I had a problem with saying "sorry"
And paying my dues
I had a chip on my shoulder
Like I had a lot to prove
I curved a smoking problem
For two whole months
And started preaching to the choir
How I'm done with the hunt
For all the drama
And dialogue
And exposition
For people that will hurt me for the plot
And composition
Turns out
I have to relapse seven times
And it's only been about four but
Think I'm gonna reach nine

I try to explain it as best as I can
But I'm tired of writing it down
They painted Ophelia
So I don't have to say it out loud

I've got a river running right
Down my hands
Drippin' of my acrylics and I'm tryna' make me understand
Keep my place and get a nice vase for when I
Figure it out
And figure it out
I've got a river running right
Down my hands
From the years of hard labour
That I put them through now I can
Wash my face and rest my case
For when I figure it out
And figure it out
And figure it out
Figure it out
