Halls of the Unhallowed

Day after day
I watch as time slowly moves on
All the lights are lit
But it's so dark inside
I've drifted so far away from myself

Now you're gone
And it's my fault
Nothing can heal these wounds
I still remember when you've left
Without a note, or a goodbye
My thoughts have died
With the stain of each memory

Wandering this lonely hall
Where the paintings once mounted
The moldy walls
You've set the decadence loose
In the centre of a heart that broke
Unveil the painful truth
But it'll never set me free
For my soul has been lost
For so long

I've sat here
Waiting for you to return home
But I see you're not coming back

I've died so slowly
Like my stolen innocence
The paintings rotted away
And I've etched my name
In the walls

I hope you remember me
Wherever you are
The indefinite reality
Is I was just beckoned to remain forgotten
