Desert-Stranded

I'm fighting for survival
While I'm all alone
Don't expect my arrival
'Cause I'm not making it home

Thought I saw an oasis
But it was a mirage
Don't wanna see your faces
So I hide in camouflage

I've been stranded in the desert
Haven't eaten in forever
Dessicated by the effort
So help me get a little better
Today's another empty entree
Like the models on the runway
Stunning but just for display
So I'll traverse the lonely byway

The three-week rule's a stretch
I'm surprised that I'm still here
'Cause there's no time to rest
No necessities are here

My vision's turning violet
But it's just probably dawn
Body's on autopilot
Since my sense of time is gone

I've been stranded in the desert
Haven't eaten in forever
Dessicated by the effort
So help me get a little better
Today's another empty entree
Like the models on the runway
Stunning but just for display
So I'll traverse the lonely byway

I'm the only one I hear
I never asked to be austere
The hunger might just take me here
Unless I satiate my fears
I'm lucky if I quench my thirst
Because it might just take me first
Lifespan threatened by the sunbursts
Being desert-stranded's a curse
