III. A Letter Back

Oh boy, your head was trouble
In times like these it seems like you've known it from the start
And it's true, but we choose our battles
And just let things be
Don't believe me?

Look at the Arctic
There are always reasons
So I don't lose sleep over that
I've chosen my demons and so have you
I guess... I hope
I know there are things in life no person should ever see
And it seems what you've seen was of that kind

Yet we still try to make sense of the worst we know
Viktor Frankl wrote a book
I'll never know if you'd read it
But I know you would've loved it

You know what's funny?
They're still crying about how they can't see the point of it all
But you and I know there wasn't any to begin with
We laugh and weep at things
Then time passes and we feel plenty stupid
It turns out you were the one to teach me this
Whether or not it was your intention

As for the updates
Everyone is still dumb and that includes me
The world is changing but it's all the same
And England is nowhere close to winning the World Cup
