Footprints of Lovers

There's something swept away by the ocean wind
Once blossomed in the cool at the break of day
I watched the greedy tide lick away the footprints of lovers
With unrelenting splendour

I plucked for you a rose with my naked lips
And offered you my heart with a bleeding kiss
Our footsteps fell in time to our beating hearts entwined
Dancing by the low tide

Now on the tender beach I would walk alone
I'd wash away. The sea she would be my home
I'd slowly fade away like the fragile footprints of lovers
Painless and forever

Meanwhile my salty tears steal away in the wind
A yearning to be free from here
I close my eyes and wonder to a lover's memory
Dancing by the low tide
