Outro

Yeah, ayo, yo

I would like to thank the listener (That's you!)
"For what?" For listenin' to this little album
A work of art; my pièce de résistance
Of course, it's not much, but lookin' forward
It's a positive outcome, a forerunner of sorts
The tip of the iceberg, it barely scratched the surface
And any other metaphor that serves the same purpose
Finally, the time has come, we've arrived at the outro, the final chapter
This is the part in the story where the guy gets the girl
Right after he just saved the whole entire world
That's sort of how I feel; a king of direction if you will
I feel like I just took off a blindfold
I'm proud of myself, I admit it, no typo
Good work soldier, mission accomplished
Thanks again for listenin' to Proof of Concept

Aye! That's it, that's the whole thing: Proof of Concept
Yeah, dub V! Ayo, this is the infamous outro
You know, the-the speaking outro that all the artists do on their albums
You know, they-they have this outro to provide a little insight
A little background on how the album came to be
Or what the artist was feeling around the time of recording said album
And this is no different
I'm gonna-I'm gonna do that because, I feel-I feel compelled to
I-I was inspired by other outros like Note to Self by J. Cole on 2014
I listen to the whole album top to bottom
I don't skip the outro; the-the outro is one of the best parts of that album
Alright, back to this one
You know, I'd-I went to school for music production, music industry
I really wanna put it to the test
You know, I wanna-I wanna challenge myself
I wanna-I wanna build somethin' bigger and greater than the sum of its parts
You know, I wanna-I wanna expand my horizons, as they say (haha)
A lot of people say that
I try to-I try to mix up my own words and phrases
I try to create new expressions and new metaphors and similes and whatnot
Anyway, this album-I didn't use any samples, I didn't outsource anything
I have Logic Pro on my MacBook
I bought a condenser mic and a USB interface on-on Marketplace
You know, I-I composed all the beats myself
I-I used a lot of a lot of the free loops
Logic's stocked with some good free loops
There's some bangers in there
I-I threw 'em together 'cause I liked it
It's simple, but effective; it worked
I got some mastering software
I learned about the mastering process, and here we are
Shoutout to my wife, Lauren; she's also the photographer for the cover
Shoutout to Wvlf Jones; he's a very down-to-earth person
I grew up with him; he helped me out, uh, in the early stages of recording
Getting that confidence behind vocals
Yeah, you know, I'm really curious how people are going to perceive this album
How they will react; I want feedback
This album is called Proof of Concept because that's exactly what it is I mean
It's a proof of concept that-hey maybe-maybe I can get into the music industry this way
I'd love to work with artists, get out there and make music; let people enjoy it
Life's too short to not be creative
Yeah, aight I'm out y'all, that's all I got
I'll be back though, don't worry, I ain't going nowhere
'Til next time, Proof of Concept, 2023, Jett Lennon, dub V
