A New Way

There will always be a point where things you love turns into things you wish you never did
It hurts yes but it also has its openings and coming forward to see that is something in which many never thought much of it
And Lord I still pray for the day that I can say I tried
That I can look back on the times and fix my darkened state of mind
Cause the fear is what hurts people the most especially when the fear comes from everything you never thought it would
Just keep fighting and working towards the better days because soon the Lord will turn all this evil into good

Everyday I find it hard to believe in something new
I mask emotions the ones I thought were going to
Hurt everyone around me but I ended up hurting myself
These toxic traits I've held just may as well pulled me straight to hell

But I believe in a world where things will get better overtime
If you love it chase it and maybe you can find a new way in life
Start to learn how to cope with pain cause it's something we can't run from
Take it slow and ease yourself when the going starts getting tough

Cause there's a new way
One I never thought would come
Pushing me to be okay
And not afraid to be a man worth love
And I wish I could say there's always another day waiting right there for you
But being honest with myself has brought me back to tell that it's God you're looking for

The people I once had in my life have made me come to my sense
I don't need anyone at anytime to feel a little happiness
Instead I'll love myself and find a new way to cope with pain
Work until there's nothing left because happiness is what I'll gain
