Slowly

My fingers get sticky when the cold comes
I can't hide the holes in my walls
Granted my mistakes aren't any smaller than yours
I still found myself laying on the floor
I used to have winters where it snowed
Now I have winters without hopes glow
When the leaves fell I changed my clothes
Now there is nothing waiting at home
Thank God for the pre-recorded sounds of
Crackling fires in the rain
If I turn of the lights and close my eyes
I can pretend that I am safe
Slowly, I can fall asleep
Slowly, I hope you remember me
I am not proficient in any of my hobbies
I'm kind of good
It's kind of bad I am not the best
Stacks of clothes and piles of laundry
I'm staying up until the dawn
Don't tell me to be happy
This is the way I wanna be
This melancholic feels my heart
Don't blame me, I write poetry
Surrounded by trees and cover in stars
Thank God for the pre-recorded sounds of
Crackling fires in the rain
If I turn of the lights and close my eyes
I can pretend that I am safe
Slowly, I can fall asleep
Slowly, I hope you remember me
Slowly, Slowly, Slowly, Slowly
