Getting a Little Longer

Well I cracked open Friday morning to see what it had in store
So far it aint no better, than the Thursday night before
My head feels like the dog shit, that I must have stepped in twice
Why can't I get myself myself together and take your advice

And that old roads' just getting a little longer
One more for that road's never the last
One for luck hits like a truck and I don't know when enough is enough
And that's the end of me until tomorrow

You can smoke em if you've got em, been a long time since I tried
But I don't think that's what I need, I'm just too old to fly
My head says for to leave it all, I can't say I disagree
But my old ears don't work too well and my old eyes refuse see

And that old roads' just getting a little longer
One more for that road's never the last
One for luck hits like a truck and I don't know when enough is enough
And that's the end of me until tomorrow
