The Greatest Story Never Told

It was the greatest story never told, guess that's just the way it go
Couldn't build a better boat, but couldn't seem to stay afloat
Drifting out to sea we know, we headed for a different coast
But everything that happened for that reason seem to keep me strong
Guess I'm on top and if I'm not, I'm where I'm supposed to be
Guess it ain't a lock until they throw away the extra key
The extacsy equivalent to when I had time
And we can sit and talk about it as them days pass by
They tryna that shine, but it ain't shine no more
They tryna what's mine, but you can't take my soul
No you can't take my lows, no you can't fake your eyes closed
I feel my faith I've shown, show me a way back home
And I'm right where I'm supposed to be, right? Ain't supposed to be
Anything more then tryna put your love in everything
Everything unfolds until the end, we got time
It ain't the greatest story told, but I'm go show 'em my side

I can't find a way, I'm tryna run around
Look outside today, I'm on another cloud
I don't wanna know
I'm fine on my own
But I don't wanna hide no more, no, I just wanna run around
I can't go inside, I feel it all around
I took back what's mine
And now it's time you go

Yeah, It's time you go and see the greatest departure
I had the run of the century, off of feelings that started
When I was young and was ignorant to the future I'd conjure
I lost the world inside my palms, and then my universe darkened
Was using words to try and shelter every hole in my heart
But when you gaze upon the negatives, the pain will be sharp
And then you'll lose all you're focus and wonder why they be quoting
Someone who lacks any progress, and tries to profit off proses
They weren't liking my stories, the saddest sorrow I soaked in
I added structure to these similes and signed as a poet
I threw my worth in the fire, became depressed and was coping
Until I took the plunge and landed in a garden of roses
Felt like myself for the first time, in a decade or two
And yes, I learned that happiness is just an endless pursuit
I'll just accept every truth, until I turn into stone
Now you know, the greatest story that'll never be told
