A Place of Great Undoing

I walked on under a punishing sun
In a land devoid of the God of Abraham
Drawn into the desert with only the heat for company
I bit my tongue so long, I could've drowned in the blood I'd drawn
Cleansed the sins of a thousand timelines
Put to rest the hopes of dreamt lifetimes
I wondered if it was always to be
Imagined tragedy in this heart of mine

Even in stillness chaos consumes
The world, a perfect pearl, lost in the greatest depths

▲ "Let there be light
In the fog of your life
And a guide amongst the bones
The rust and mold are never satisfied
Is death a lottery?
What about this life, the breath inside of me?
Is love the sweetest drug, the greatest lie
Or the strongest chord woven in this life?"

Even in stillness chaos consumes
The world, a perfect pearl, lost in the greatest depths

The wind blew with a muted voice
And the sky was consumed by a void

▼ "I am a god
I am a ghost
I am the all becoming man
I am the past
I'm the future
I'm your reflection in the Jordan river"

▲ "A prayer for strength brings burdens you never wished
And weakness, the ease of release
There's peace in the journey yet finished"
