Ender

With my blindfold creased thick
And tightly wrapped around my head
I devoured the flesh in its entirety
Dirt and all
As it pulled me home
The candles I had lit to guide me
Burned me
And begged me to stop
My reality adopted a deafening silence
Leaving a dark reflection
That stared back at me harder than I stared at it
It took form
Its' obsidian claws using the last glimpses of light
My imagination could recreate
To flex its razor sharp nails at me
My senses were at its mercy
My future was at his disposal
The faces on his tail
Screamed and wept in agony
A pulsing image
23 years in the making
His gift to me
My God, you are perfect

He promised!
He promised me a tragedy!
A wounded idea to a bleeding mass!
I was put hear to teach them all!
To show them how much they really have to lose!
So I'll wait
I'll wait for his signal
It must be coming soon
And I'll draw his blood
from the tip of his own finger

Draw your sword
Again
This time
I'll strike yours
Your legion
Gored by my blade
Through fire
And salt
From the sky
My burnt seed
Will bloom
This time

Draw your sword
Again
This time
I'll strike yours
Your legion
Gored by my blade
Through fire
And salt
From the sky
My burnt seed
Will bloom
This time
