Weakness

And the Lord, Almighty
Wrestled in the night
With a thief named Jacob
And He to chose to lose the fight
Still He wounded him
To show the wisdom in
Weakness

And a man named Moses
Was a bit tongue-tied
So he came up with excuses
But as hard as he tried
God had chosen him
To deliver in
Weakness

Who of us would ever guess this truth
That the humble and poor are heaven blessed
While we hide away our flaws and cling to youth
Salvation finds the frail and powerless

And a girl named Mary
Pledged to be a bride
Had a visit from an angel
And a song welled up inside
And she sang of when
God remembered in
Weakness

Or the whole thing is a lie"
They couldn't see it, then
All His power in
Weakness
