Like a Waterfall

There is a great oak tree
As old as the time
Whose branches stretch endless
Whose leaves touch the sky
Its roots can't be counted
Its trunk is its fame
And the woods that surround it is too small to have its own name

Who is great and who is small?
Who has power, has nothing at all?
Whose fame today will soon wash away like a waterfall?

There is a great mountain
As old as the time
A fortnight to conquer
Its treacherous climb
There's sand at its foothills
Its peak deep in snow
And it sits one of many on a dot you can't see on the globe

Who is great and who is small?
Who has power, has nothing at all?
Whose fame today will soon wash away like a waterfall?

Turning in the waterfall
Everything churning in the waterfall

And in this great country
As young as the day
Whose reaches stretch endless
From desert to bay
They call us to guard her
As if they don't know
Her borders mean nothing to this tiny space rock we think that we own

Who is great and who is small?
Who has power, has nothing at all?
Whose fame today will soon wash away like a waterfall?

Stones before a waterfall
That's all we are
