Step as Though We're Free

I imagine that the walls can come down
I remember when we stared at them
We can paint them with the pretty colors
I can wait as long as you can

You can see through the misty morning air
I will go there and see it with you
We can tell them all of our stories
May they greet us with care

See it open and breath the space
Listen to the sounds that seem to fall away
Never doubt the time it takes to know
Peace be with you as you cede this time

I imagine that we will remember
Two or three things we held dear
We will sing our songs of good faith
And our eyes will see it all then

So those walls we spoke of before
They never seemed to be
Thus we can go forward to the line
And step as though we're free
Here we are, I know this is the place
Where no more are denied
Now go on and tell everyone
There is nothing there
