Boogeyman

I was sitting on the subway when I noticed a man
He had a strange black box with some wires in his hand
I started getting nervous so when the train stopped
I got off and ended up walking home ten blocks
It feels like the streets aren't safe anymore
People scared to leave their homes 'cuz no one's really sure
Who's a friend, who's a foe? Does anybody know?
You can watch a murder live on Facebook video

I checked my closet
Where we hang up all our nightmares
Under my bed
And I still don't see him nowhere
Tell me, who
Who is this Boogeyman?
I checked my closet
It's all just in my head

Sometimes I wonder what it's like to be fighting a war
Not knowing the reason why you're fighting it for
Or why when I'm alone at night I lock all the doors
I guess these days we can never be too sure

I checked my closet
Where we hang up all our nightmares
Under my bed
And I still don't see him nowhere
Tell me, who
Who is this Boogeyman?
I checked my closet
It's all just in my head

I just can't shake the way I feel
I feel like I don't know what is fake and what is real
What's real that I feel?

I checked my closet
Where we hang up all our nightmares
Under my bed
And I still don't see him nowhere
Tell me, who
Who is this Boogeyman?
I checked my closet
It's all just in my head
