Plato and the Mermaid
Gather here people, thy I spoke the tale
Of a man like us, that loved a mermaid
His name was Plato, and he was down and out
But he liked the sun and he loved the crowds
Then one day long ago, he heard a song
And he lost his mind, he had lost his soul
Then he began to walk, towards the sound
And what he saw, just made him frown
There was a mermaid, singing along, but how can it be?
How a mermaid can sing?
And as his jealousy grew, he got blind
Didn't comprehend, the mermaid's sign
And as he saw her waving, calling him in
He pick a stone and smash her head
And as the blood reach the water and as he stood with pride
Plato understood that he loved her sign
What have I done? What was her name?
And as he stood by himself, he saw the mermaid
