Reflections Before Day of Atonement

Philosophy
I study it first hand
I learn to learn
And understand the meaning of its laws
The cycle at its end
With all its pros and cons
Uplifting and demeaning

Cycle is On
Vicious cycle is On
Laws are broken and gone
Everyone is alone
Tone Semitone
Battle lost battle won
And I wake up at dawn
And the music is born

Polyphony
The sounds swell and blend
My eyes are closed
I listen and I cannot find the words
Describing the ascent
Those sounds and those chords
Are giving to my being

Tone Semitone
They won't leave me alone
And I wake up at dawn
And the music is born
Cycle is On
Vicious cycle is On
Pages written and torn
Lines erased don't return

The Poetry
The rhymes are in my head
I curse and pray
I lose the hope and I implore the Lord
To may be just pretend
And be our last resort
And give us new beginning

Tomorrow Night
It all will come my way
I'll rock and sway
The time to ask forgiveness for my sins
And I will humbly pray
With crying violins
For Us to go on living
