Lysergic Tragedy

I wasn't sure
If my time here was all placebo
I watched the floor,
And the rest assured.
The sun was unseasonably warm
But a warmer coat I should have worn,
The trees were very tall
The bridge was unclimbable
I was fascinated by it all
I should have been withdrawn

The coldness of the wind
Contrasted me completely
My breaths all following
The paths laid out for them

The whispers of immortal men
Exist in a plane of consciousness unbeknownst to us
We can see their influence regularly
Through the expression of eyes
That dance and dart without colour
