Half Eaten, Buried Alive

The urge to feed on flesh
Meets the urge to embrace death
The meat and the man agree
On this night, the man will feed
All senses are heightened
As the man prepares his feast
And once the clock strikes midnight
The man consumes the meat

A taste so succulent, so divine
And the properties truly benign
But through it all, the meat survives
Left in a hole, half-eaten and buried alive

The euphoria overtaking the man

Shivering as he feeds
His body rejecting the meat
But the man continues to feast
Until the plate is cleaned
Moving his eyes to the remains
The meat groaning in pain
Dragging the flesh that he craved
To bury in a shallow grave

The life force slowly gives way
As the dirt showers over the remains
The final glimmer of mortality
The meat is stripped of its vitality

The life force slowly gives way
As the dirt showers over the remains
The final glimmer of mortality
The meat is stripped of its vitality

A taste so succulent, so divine
And the properties truly benign
But through it all, the meat survives
Left in a hole, half-eaten and buried alive
