I'm so Bored

Every song's overplayed that I can think of
Every thought's been thought even of love
There is nothing new to say 'cause it's all been said
I wish something would happen before I'm dead
I've seen everything; nothing surprises me
A glow-in-the-dark ring, an alien on TV
I'm so bored
It's all the same
Bored as can be
Writing poetry
We smile or sigh, as we walk by
Exchanging notes because we're both shy
Hers are always written in blue
She says, "It's happened to me
I hope it doesn't happen to you"
My dreams are always so sweet
Cast the demons out of me
I'll just continue this poem because I have
Nothing new, to look, forward to
I wish there were, a faster cure
No, don't want your drugs
I live in the real world
Come give my heart a tug
I'm so bored
It's all the same
Bored as can be
Writing poetry
