Waiting On Sunshine

Well I'm hoping that this bed I bought has got a warranty
I'm gonna take it right back to the store, gonna bring my receipt
Well there must be something wrong, I tried to go out and find a job
But it's just so soft and warm, I can't get back on my feet

Yeah the clock keeps telling lies that can't be true
I haven't gone nowhere, I've had nothing to do
Well it must need to be wound, the hands keep spinning round
And once again it reads a quarter past two

Well I don't know what to do
There's a big black cloud hanging over my view
I'm waiting on someday, hoping that it's coming soon
I'm waiting on sunshine, to come shining through

I keep a list in my pocket of all the things I'd like to achieve
But now it's gotten so long it's running down my sleeve
I really ought to get out the door
And pick myself off of the floor
Or I could just lay down, and go back to sleep

Well I don't know what to do
There's a big black cloud hanging over my view
I'm waiting on someday, hoping that it's coming soon
I'm waiting on sunshine, to come shining through
