Gentleman

Shattered pieces of the words
That I said and that I wrote
Tears and rain covered my coat
Does it matter now?
I remember when she said
That she's going with her friend
But I hadn't seen that dress
Maybe I was blind?

Is it me in a mirror?
Can people see the ghosts?
In her eyes I'm a swimmer
But I have to remain cold

Cold Gentleman
Lost in memories' haze of her
Wasn't I enough?
Cold Gentleman
Lost in memories' haze of her
Wasn't I enough?

I wrote poems to see her smile
We used to laugh when the night was mild
Drive and sing the "Lake Shore Drive"
Suddenly it all just died
I was full of pain and full of love
But there's no reason to have both
I had to choose the different road
I've never been so lost

Lost because of longing
Lost because of warnings
Lost because of silence
Lost in loneliness

Is it me in a mirror?
Can people see the ghosts?
In her eyes I'm a swimmer
But I have to remain cold

Cold Gentleman
Lost in memories' haze of her
Wasn't I enough?
Cold Gentleman
Lost in memories' haze of her
Wasn't I enough?
