Foster Child

She stood at the door the week That she turned seven
Everything she owned in that Crumpled paper sack
Filled with fears and tears the life She'd known gone forever
They said, "welcome home come In my dear"

That night when she knelt down To pray
She said, Lord can you please Find a way
To make this world better
For the one's feeling small
Seems a nice family
But it doesn't feel like home
And strangers are choosing
What is best for me
I trust you Jesus
I know that you see me

Days turned to weeks to years Now they're a family
There's just a little scar where Her heart once was torn
And now she sees it all so Differently and she's thankful for The two lives she's known

At night when she kneels down To pray
She says, Lord thanks for finding A way to make this world better
For the ones feeling small
So many tryin' to make their House a home
And angels with hidden wings
Want the best for me
I thank you Jesus I know that You see me

I know you see me
And angels with hidden wings
Want the best for me
I thank you Jesus I know that You see me
I know you see me
