Too Many Vampires In the Kitchen

In a kitchen bathed in twilight's hue
Too many vampires, more than a few
Stirred pots and pans, all in such close proximity
A culinary nightmare, bi-weekly festivity

Cracked tiles bear the weight of timeless feet
Fingers dyed red, and not due to beets
The microwave was buzzing with a bat that flew inside
A mistake by one young vampire who just sought a place to hide

One tried to chop the garlic but shrieked and pulled away
While another spilled the holy water and chaos came to play
The fridge was filled with blood bags labelled A to Z
But too many chefs, as they say, and nothing came to be

One attempted cooking with a skillet and a pan
Reflection in the silver revealed no face or hands
The fridge was fully stocked, not with veggies or with meats
But with several bags of type O and type AB treats

But in their manic fervor, a grave mistake they made
As the morning sunlight neared and the night's veil would fade
Caught in their disputes, they ignored the dawn's first light
As the ray broke through the window so stark and so bright

And the kitchen now aglow with a warm golden embrace
Turned vampires into ash, not a trace left in place
If invited to partake, remember what I said
Too many vampires in the kitchen and they'll all end up dead

Where is everybody? The kitchen is a mess
