The Wind

I've been traveling most of my time
I wonder where I'll die
All these things I must leave behind
They come before my needs
But ever since I've been traveling time
I wonder how I would look in
Their mothers eyes through the burning sun
And through the rivers I have crossed

Dark wind you must carry the sun
How could I ever become like a bird in the sky
I would never return to myself

Dark wind you must sit on the sun
And try to hold me down
While I'm getting these stones off my skin and my bones
So I can be free

I'll remember singing these lines
As the crying cold blue tears
They will wash my beautiful eyes
As the burden casts the sky
But ever since I've been traveling time
I wonder how I would look in
Their mothers eyes through the burning sun
And through the rivers I have crossed

Dark wind you must carry the sun
How could I ever become like a bird in the sky
I would never return to myself

Dark wind you must sit on the sun
Try to hold me down
While I'm getting these stones off my skin and my bones
So I can be free
