300 Feet

Anymore it's like I'm living in a nightmare
And I can't seem to escape
Every morning, make my coffee
And the same thing the next day
I don't get dressed until the day is almost gone
I don't know how you just expect me to move on

Give me one good reason why
You'd rather believe a lie
While I'm 300 feet above the ground
Watching it all play out
But is it worth it now?

Every day I read about another nightmare
That could've been prevented
There's no way it's getting better
When I know that you've all just pretended
I know you want things to go back to how they were
As time goes on the thought of that gets more and more absurd

Give me one good reason why
You'd rather believe a lie
While I'm 300 feet above the ground
Watching it all play out
But is it worth it now?

'Cause lately you've been acting really strange
Like nothing that you're doing needs to change
And I can't help but wonder why I have to
Spend my years up in the sky
There's nothing I can do but cry in rage

Just give me one good reason why
You'd rather believe a lie
While I'm 300 feet above the ground
Watching it all play out
But is it worth it now?
