The Crime

Since the dawn of creation
There lived a horrible mutation
It hunted many, without emotion
Its life depending solely on motion
With Earth's every passing revolution
It grew into a hideous abomination
Reaching every mountain and every stream
Its shadow (shadow) extinguishing every dream
And as it rushed from place to place
Man cringed and wept at this losing race
For in the end I knew it would be
This monstrous creature laughing at me
Spreading from every river to every lake
It left death and sickness in its wake (in its wake)
And as man struggled against this crime
He gave it a name (gave it a name) and called it "Time"
(gave it a name and called it "Time")
