Glimpse of Light

I see the light forming, this is right for me
It's time to open the door, to reveal enlightenment
I close my eyes and so clearly, I shut my mouth so the light speaks
In my mind I have been through a dark maze, I can tell you how I was afraid

I can tell you I ran in circles searching for something within myself
I can tell you everything, now that there is a story
In the beginning, I was a moth, finding a flame to burn the walls
I thought if I destroyed this maze, I wouldn't be stuck in this space

But the more I became desperate, the less I saw the message
In the middle I was a traveler, collecting insight in a canister
I believed if I had souvenirs, they would bring light this year
But the more comfortable I became, the less I wanted to escape

In the end, I am light, forming behind closed eyes
I know if I open this door, I won't be lost anymore
I open my eyes and so clearly, I speak my mind for you to hear me
