The Elephant

Hey man I don't know you, I've never even seen your face.
I don't know what you go through, or where you let your mind escape.

But we all have our demons,
And everyone is broken.

And there's a wolf crying in the next room dying to live and grow up just like you.
He'll show his teeth then dry his tears when you don't come through.
But for now there's still a wolf crying in the next room.

Hey man I don't know you, I've barely even heard your name.
I don't know what you call truth, I don't know what you call fame.

But we all have our demons,
And everyone is broken.

And there's an angel laying in the bedroom with ocean eyes, shining, bright and blue.
She'll spread her wings and call my name when you don't come through.
But for now there's still an angel laying in the bedroom.

So I find myself with my hands on her skin, locked up face to face.
Then I realize what one man throws away, is another man's saving grace.

There's an elephant sitting in the room.
Wondering why in the hell we do the things we do.
He'll stand and run, the house will fall, if you don't come through.
But for now there's still an elephant sitting in the room.
