Pictures On the Walls
Remember your eyes, remember your face
We were together in a beautiful place
Remember that time when I felt young and free
And pictures on the walls showed happy me
Happy me
Happy me
Pictures on the walls showed happy me
Another sleepless night ahead and let me thank you, Stranger
For making shortstop at unknown track on random station
As it may happen this might not be something you would like
Listening to nagging of another no name with mic
Apparently you are expecting me to tell my story
I need apologize because I have no story, sorry
Just random memories assembled to the single piece
Exposing life snapshots of boy who chasing happiness
I grew in 90s always struggling from lack of money
Who cares how much did you get, next day they had no value
And harsh reality was forming our clumsy shape
In constant hopelessness with no chances to escape
Then we were young and often fighting our own fears
Lots of my friends became addicted to the poppy tears
The vast majority were thinking it would make us free
Now their freedom is a piece of ground two by three
Next episode my first relationships I've overrated
Flowers, romantic sex, gifts, sweets, toys, you name it
I was rejected, felt a lot of pain from what I've seen
And from the blunt of razor blades sliding under my skin
Fast forward! Pretty girl is dancing with me after party
In hotel room... then blink of eye and I am over forty
Recalling perfectly my soul dissolved in her first kiss
Another blink and we are raising our common kids
Life gave me one important lesson, that I shouldn't bother
About rainbow tail which still attracts but never getting closer
You may exhaust yourself by chasing it around the clock
There is no happiness in plastic bag under zip-lock
Seems I have nothing to complain about and life should be pleasing
But heart is feeling like something important is still missing
A piece of puzzle that I probably shall never find
Already leaving? Ohhh... don't worry, Stranger, never mind
Remember I was standing barefoot on grass
And nights were surrounded by billions of stars
And life was going on like it was meant to be
And pictures on the walls showed happy me
Happy me
Happy me
Pictures on the walls showed happy me
We were together in a beautiful place
Remember that time when I felt young and free
And pictures on the walls showed happy me
