Satan 66

Satan!
This is it!
I've made it, Satan
I came all this way
To greet you on this day
Solemnly offer you an exchange
For my name, and my face
And whatever you may take -
I am asking you if here on God's green Earth
I can please stay - forever!
They say the Earth is your dominion
That's why they've turned their backs on this place, Satan!
The men, women, children
Shame on them!
Traitors, craven, filth!
They don't even deserve to be called human
Where is their guilt?
One day they will say
Who let the Earth burn?
Who neglected the flowers?
Who tread blindly over worm?
Who abandoned our home in favor of the word
Of a coward who can't even show His face
On His own green Earth?
Satan, I don't care that you sit on a throne of lies
So does Christ!
Look how he treats His own creation!
As our demise hastens
Then I swear for the rest of my days, Satan
I will spit in the face of Christ
If you promise me I can stay here forever!
Satan, caretaker of the Earth
Watches over creation
All of nature, the water and the dirt
All the lilies of the valley, and the beasts, and the birds
Give thanks
Disowned by our own creator, but not you, Satan!
Steward of this place, hero of the people
Hated by many, fallen from grace
I will sign my name in the pages of your book
If in exchange you can promise me
I'll never have to leave this place!
Call me old Robert Johnson
In the sticks at the crossroads
Witching hour, Route 666
Ready to ascend tower and receive gifts and give them
Like Koopsta - mystic, mystic styles of the ancient mutilations!
I'm on Satan's playground
Voices screaming "what in tarnation?"
And all the blessings I receive in this place
Were given by one who's fallen from grace named
Satan, deserving of praise
I bow to no man but where it's due I will give him thanks
If it's true what they say
That it's you who maintains and is steward of this place
Then I guess I'll take it
Cause I love this place, Satan
That's why I came
To offer my name in your book
Broken and naked
I will offer anything you want, you can take it
If in exchange you promise me I can stay here and live forever!
Satan, caretaker of the Earth
Watches over creation
All of nature, the water and the dirt
All the lilies of the valley, and the beasts, and the birds
Give thanks
Disowned by our own creator, but not you, Satan!
Caretaker of this place, hero of the people
Hated by many, fallen from grace
I will sign my name in the pages of your book
If in exchange you can promise me
I'll never have to leave this place!
