I've been out here working got a lot to do
Finally seen the value in my life
So I had to go and change the way I move
I really did its easier said than done
Got another chance when I woke up and seen the sun
Never had a lot but God put the earth in my palms
Told me take this shit and run
It's crazy I didn't see it before
But I was broken and drenched
From when life started to pour
Started when I was a kid
still stuck in the storm
Nah it probably started when I was born

But tell them that I'm growing now
Used to live real wild but now I'm slowing down
Shit got way too crazy I stopped going out
Unless it's for a bag and then I'm poking out
Just to stay alive I took the lonely route
Even cuffed a couple hoes who said they'd hold me down
That was such a joke I had to throw them out (damn)
Got back to myself and found the coldest sound
So I'm focused now

I guess it's better late than never
Cause some will never achieve it
In despite of all they effort
See I was molded
I never really folded under pressure
Always try to keep my calm
and just focus on what is precious
The more that I focus the more it's present
That I made a lot of mistakes
And learned even more lessons
I realize that every day is a blessing
So I try to put the work in
Instead of count up the seconds
