The Valley

Walking through the valley
Of the damned forgotten souls
It seems to be a gloomy alley
Without a view to reach the self-set goals

Dawn is coming
Rain is falling on my skin
Wind is smashing against my face while I'm running
Through this rotten wasteland
A creation of my sin

But there, the elevation of the landscape
Like a mountain range formed out of hope
It seems to be not that far away from here
And yet it will be impossible to reach without a leading rope

Dew has settled where the light is reflecting through
Colors float like a star
Now there's desperation caused by the dark view

It's crazy how close beauty and madness are
Dawn is coming
Rain is falling on my skin
A creation of my sin

But there, the elevation of the landscape
Like a mountain range formed out of hope
It seems to be not that far away from here
And yet it will be impossible to reach without a leading rope
