Black Lake

My face reflects in the water
Shows me all the pain I will endure in my life
Black lake
Water so sincere

Perched right on top of a mountain
The fog is too thick to see anything
But the lake
Water, is so so still

Tears fall out of my eye socket
I cannot see them but my parents are near
I break
Why did I have to stare?

What would I see now that I'm older?
Sorrow and joy too arcane for the mind
Black Lake
The future is all too clear
