Definition of a Boy
I looked up the definition of a boy
It was pretty misleading
I wish I'd been given a warning, warning
They left out the part where with your emotions they might toy
You might find them cheating
They might leave you bleeding, bleeding
All those many vows
They might mean nothing to him, nothing to him
Careful little girl when you give your heart to him, your heart to him
He might tear you up, rip you to shreds
Leave you nothing in the end but
That's not what Merriam Webster said
That's not what Merriam Webster said
It's true I'm young and I'm learning
But I do not need a dictionary to know the meaning of sorry
He ain't sorry, no
Get this, instead he took a stab at me
I'm adjusting my vocabulary
Boy and liar are synonyms
Did you know, did you know
He might tear you up, rip you to shreds
Leave you nothing in the end but
That's not what Merriam Webster said
That's not what Merriam Webster said
They don't teach you that in school
And so I went and played the fool
My innocence sure must've tasted sweet
How could I have known that all the times he said I love you
He was slowly spinning a web of deceit
I learned the hard way
A boy can betray
He might tear you up, rip you to shreds
Leave you nothing in the end but
That's not what Merriam Webster said said said
