Jungle Queen

Long ago in the forest
She slept among her den, but still she
dreamed of all the ways that she could grow

Learning life from her mother
Hungry as she hunted she knew
all the wondrous places she could go

And now she stares out into the night below

She remembers what it's like to rule the forest
Now she watches as she stands there all alone
Wondering how all the years have gone on by
And in her mind, she is still the jungle queen

Years went by for the feline
The deer they feared her roar and she thought
"Oh all the animals they know"

Now her mane grows silver
The cubs she raised have gone out to be
free, and rule the jungle on their own

Faded dreams of yesterday
Close your eyes and drift away

She remembers what it's like to rule the forest
Now she watches as she stands there all alone
Wondering how all the years have gone on by
And in her mind, she is still the jungle queen

Ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh

Ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh

Ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh
