Dime.99

She's a dime ninety nine I must say it's a bit of a distraction
Tried to get my thoughts together just to get a word in while she was passin
But when she looked me in my eye, stopped me dead in my tracks no lie
She's a dime ninety nine can't believe I let the woman walk by

It was a Tuesday afternoon I was gettin work done at the coffee shop
I was sippin cold brew with a lil almond milk just to top it off
Was bout to make my way out the door when she caught me by surprise
There she was just standing there in line
The finest woman that I've seen in some time

She's a dime ninety nine I must say it's a bit of a distraction
Tried to get my thoughts together just to get a word in while she was passin
But when she looked me in my eye stopped me dead in my tracks no lie
She's a dime ninety nine can't believe I let that woman walk by

I had been there for a few hours already writin poetry
Started gathering my things slowly really hoping she would notice me
Turned my head, she was walkin my way
Looked me in my eye think she saw on my face
That I was taken back by her beauty but my tongue got tied
So she passed me by, better luck next time

She's a dime ninety nine I must say it's a bit of a distraction
Tried to get my thoughts together just to get a word in while she was passin
But when she looked me in my eye, stopped me dead in my tracks no lie
She's a dime ninety nine can't believe I let that woman walk by

I hate to make excuses but I really ain't the type to try to kick some quick game, 'fraid it won't come out right
That being said I really ain't the type to freeze either
Usually hit you with "hi, names Rick, nice to meet ya "
But this girl she had me on my heels, I'm talkin real amazing
But just as quick as she appeared, so too she faded
One chance wasted, left me with my head shakin
Had to go about my day a little pride taken
But I don't mind waitin, see if I might see her 'round
With my luck she's probably visiting from out of town
If nothin else I learned a lesson not to think twice, when somethin good is maybe tryna walk it's way into my life

She's a dime ninety nine I must say it's a bit of a distraction
Tried to get my thoughts together just to get a word in while she was passin
But when she looked me in my eye, stopped me dead in my tracks no lie
She's a dime ninety nine can't believe I let that woman walk by
She's a dime ninety nine I must say it's a bit of a distraction
Tried to get my thoughts together just to get a word in while she was passin
But when she looked me in my eye, stopped me dead in my tracks no lie
She's a dime ninety nine can't believe I let that woman walk by
