My Story

Aye hoe, I mean aye yo, I mean you know yo name
Apologizes my mouth don't seem to work and plus I'm nervous, hey
Don't walk away
That corny joke I made
Was posed to make you smile
And break the ice
But that was my mistake and I won't make it twice
I'm really nice
I really do get nervous
And just say the first thing that pops in my bird nest of thoughts
A gift, curse, and a lost talent
And I happen to have it
I don't know why but I use it to create art
When I manage to figure out how to say the things that I'm thinking
And jot it down with a ink pen and
Bring to life what I'm sinking in
Hopefully inspire tinkering with
What we think we knew better
A bunch of lies they've told several
Now it's my time to lie, create my story they'll live by
And now I'll tell it all to you before you know it you'll know why

Just take a piece of my with you
Let my story live on
Just take a piece of me with you
And let my story live on
Yeah, aye
Let my story live on
Let my energy flourish

Let my story live on
Let this energy flourish
Keep on singing these in hopes of giving me courage
If I can concur these thoughts, and paint a pic with my wording
Then I can lay in my bed, a dark room that I furnished
But I'm still proud myself
I write my name big and bold
And I shed light on myself, so they can see when I'm gone
Somewhat like a museum
The kids on field trips will see me
And they'll grateful to visit
A hand raise from a seated position
Young lady asked the tour guide
Why he faded so quickly
Another case of kids asking questions reshaping your thinking
Damn how I even answer that
Young lady here go play this song and sing along to bring me back
So I can try again

Just take a piece of my with you
Let my story live on
Just take a piece of me with you
And let my story live
Let my story live on
Just take piece of me with you
