Why Walk in the Dark
The sun rises, crosses the sky, goes down, and is gone
Then it hastens to run to its place to arise for the dawn
The wind blows from south, or from north, so it twists and it turns
And around and around so it swirls until it returns
But in the end all has been heard
In the end keep to the Word
There is nothing more that you can do but fear the Lord
In the end
Things continue the way that they've been it's all been done
And it's crazy to walk as a fool, why walk in the dark?
When you strive for the knowledge above with your eyes you can see
Seek the way, and the truth, and the life; on the path you will be
But in the end all has been heard
In the end keep to the Word
There is nothing more that you can do but fear the Lord
In the end
We all start out good, that's what I've seen
Then we lose our way, chasing foolish dreams
And, sad to admit, we've sought many schemes, many schemes
But our hope is in this
We've been been redeemed, redeemed, we've been redeemed
Now remember that time and that chance happen to us all
And one sinner destroys so much good – into judgment he'll fall
And as dust we'll return to the earth, of that we're assured
And God will judge every deed, whether evil or good
But in the end all has been heard
In the end keep to the Word
There is nothing more that you can do but fear the Lord
In the end
Then it hastens to run to its place to arise for the dawn
The wind blows from south, or from north, so it twists and it turns
And around and around so it swirls until it returns
But in the end all has been heard
In the end keep to the Word
There is nothing more that you can do but fear the Lord
In the end
