Grace the Bluebird
Grace the Bluebird paid a visit today
Said something clever then laughed away
Helped me learn my lines for the school play
Gave me a wink and said "I'll see you on stage"
She's witty
She's kind
She's got something funny to say
All the time
And I'm glad to call her a dear departed friend of mine
Grace the Bluebird's looking out for me all the time
Grace the Bluebird caught me crying today
Said "don't worry honey, don't know why he's that way"
Said "have a seat" and gave me a glass bottle of cream soda
While I cried "what's wrong with me" on her 80's flower print sofa
She's witty
She's kind
She's a little old lady with a youthful mind
And I'm glad to call her a dear departed friend of mine
Grace the Bluebird's looking out for me all the time
Grace the Bluebird lost some feathers along the way
Of course no bird on earth is meant to stay
She left me memories in her nest
I miss her laugh, it was the best
She was so pretty
She was a rare find
She'd tell stories of her travels
All the time
And I'm glad to call her a dear departed friend of mine
Grace the Bluebird, how I miss her, see her again sometime
Said something clever then laughed away
Helped me learn my lines for the school play
Gave me a wink and said "I'll see you on stage"
She's witty
She's kind
She's got something funny to say
All the time
And I'm glad to call her a dear departed friend of mine
Grace the Bluebird's looking out for me all the time
Grace the Bluebird caught me crying today
