Santas In Summer
It's that special time of year
Where everywhere you go
You see his big red suit and pants
And white beard all a glow
It's pretty plain to see
There's a lot of him around
At the mall, or on TV, or at your office Christmas party
Just the other day
I started thinking fearfully
What does Santa do
When December's done and through
Sometimes I sit and wonder
What Santas do in summer
Hit the links at the country club
Or sail the sea in a big yacht
Take a trip to Disney land
Maybe camp in an RV van
It's probably less appealing
He works at Best Buy in there greeting
Bet he's just a normal guy
Avoids the heat like you and I
That guy that Macy's hired drives a '94 Camry
And Bass Pro's best man has a vintage doll collection
That charming gentleman that your child loves so much
Well I saw his car, just last night, outside Santa's Pub
HEY!
Sometimes I sit and wonder
What Santas do in summer
Run a half marathon
Maybe even visit Santa-Con
Take a trip on a two week cruise
Sit around and watch the news
I'm sure it's less appealing
Works at Walmart in their greeting
Bet he's just a normal guy
Avoids the heat like you and I
Am I being too harsh?
I don't mean to sound rude
We all know the real Santa has a lot to do
January, hits up Planet Fitness
February, dropping off rose bouquets
March, April, May, he starts a lawn business
All that summer heat got him losing weight
Fourth of July, he's a pyrotechnic
Before he opens up a Spirit Halloween
Thanksgiving food bout to fill him out
Then he grows out the beard and he's back again
Now we don't have to wonder what Santa does in Summer
He may be a guy like me, but that's not the whole story
He's a jolly, happy soul
The cap and beard make him magical
As he rides his sleigh tonight
All will become merry and bright
Summer's done it's time to go
Come on join in
HO HO HO
Where everywhere you go
