jupiter

Tryna to focus, but I find myself just
Chasing thoughts into the late afternoon
And when I'm drifting I find a land on
My hand if I traded the sun for the moon
So far away yet just tucked
In the corner of my mind
Getting groceries seems daunting
I just wanna read poetry and cry

Feels like I'm on Jupiter not Earth
Cause I am never here, I'm in my own world
And it's hard to keep up with them both
You can tell when I've escaped
I know, I know
I know, I know

Hesitating to give myself when
These boxes here for me I really outgrew
Now I know why I never fit in
Turns out I'm some type of alien

The things I'm holding onto
Seem to skew my reality
Look up to the constellations
But the cosmos couldn't help me now

Feels like I'm on Jupiter, not Earth
Cause I am never here, I'm in my own world
And it's hard to keep up with them both
You can tell when I've escaped
I know, I know

Feels like I'm on Jupiter, not Earth
Cause I am never here, I'm in my own world
And it's hard to keep up with them both
You can tell when I've escaped, I
