Spring's Snow

When you left me my babe my love
The snow has covered Earth above
And waiting for beautiful Spring
We stayed apart in the sorrow ring
Here again endless snow is sown
It glides on panes and walls alone
The cold of snowy blankets spreads
Upon the fields and softly treads

Through dreams of days pure and white
It settles within me day and night
And drawing some upon the panes
The patterns formed or just ash's stains?
Perhaps it's ashes from the fire
In the fireplace with stones so dire
As Spring follows in its stride
The dreams of Spring will soon reside

Snow can't compete in her guise

And after sleep the snow'll depose
