Disconnection

Distraught by the sight of my own being
So much that the tables now have turned

Where were this comfort when needed the most?
Over life, under death and in between, causing a disconnection
Sight is first to go, as I'm floating towards the unknown
Crawling to the door, illusions breed into my soul

Eyes!
Tearing their way into mine

When were I lost this way before
Like the light from my darkest dreams
The walls were always descending
Got carried by the powers of my subconsious
What I lust, is now only darkness

Now I reach the final state of the undescribable
The only thoughts are the ones killed by my ego

Transcending into the thing what appears to be god
But life is all an illusion, I know that now
Fear, the only thing that is me
Struggle to resist and let go of the all

No control!
Lay down and let the chaos loose

When were I safe like this before
Like the light that I chased to life
The walls were always descending
Got carried by the powers of my subconsious
Reversed roles, the crown is now on my head

All this time I thought I had seen it all
So it seems the walls were my only escape
Got carried by myself through misery and death
All that was me is gone
