The Circus

A Cheshire cat grin spreads across the clown's face
On a unicycle called the human race
He juggles lives in ones and twos, threes, and fours
In a circus spanning from one shore to shore

At the heart of the circus
The magician has his fun
The final performance
Leaves the circus packed as the crowd
Watches the world turn into a sun
For the final act
He puts the circus on display
The clown hides away

The magic is done but the clown can't perform
The push of a button makes the perfect storm
The wave of the wand makes the setting so dire
Leaving shadows of men and cities on fire
