No Man's Land - Experimental Version
In the no man's land
There are stars and the sky
But no voices
In the no man's land
There is fire and sun
But no voices
And so it starts every night
With all the candles alight
Home comes the creature
The monster of light
But when the no man's land
Crumbles down to the ground
There's no voices
And not a soul to be found
The deserted old village
Cares not for it's past
All it craves is the peace
And some silence at last
There stood a house here years back
And near the house stood a shack
There was a woman who loved
Near lived a man who was cracked
She heard his cries every night
And she forgot how to laugh
Because for so long she listened
Couldn't run far enough
Storm was coming her way
And god, he still cried so loud
When lightning embraced her
She fired two shots
(...)
Twenty-second night of may
The death of an angel
Nestled in between the cracks
Waiting for a savior
Into floorboards underneath
Body seeping deeper
Still awake with open eyes
Slowly getting weaker
Ever since the sun went out
Laying there in silence
Swept away without a sound
Bringing home the balance
(...)
In the no man's land
There are stars and the sky
But no voices
In the no man's land
There is fire and sun
But no voices
And when the whispers are gone
And only past drinks alone
There's no madness
For all the insects and vines
Have given up on this time
And left just silence
When all the souls have decayed
Foundations rotted away
The roots sprang out from the core
To keep the sleeping one sane
Where the streets have no name
Uncaring forces of change
Won't help rebuild what they tore
There is no place for us anymore
(...)
