Dead Flies (Hyde Park Demo)

Dead flies in this windowsill of mine
Guess it's time to pull the blinds and just unwind
Heard 'em buzzing 'round the kitchen late last night when I got in
Now them flies are sleeping just fine

The lawn grows taller each day
It's been so long I've been away
Dogs been a-barkin, neighbors come a-knockin'
But I don't think them dogs are even mine

Sometimes my friends come stumblin' by
Their cigarette butts around just lyin'
Drunk my liquor, and ate up all my food
But they're the best damn friends a guy like me could find

My car grows rustier each day
I don't drive around much anyway
Put an ad online and a man came by, stuck a needle in my eye
He drove off smoke pouring from the engine bay

Some call me unlucky, some call me unkind
Some have even said I've been untrue
But I just sit and watch all them passersby
Blowin' smoke from my point of view

So if you got a problem, you could come it solve it
You might meet the business end of my revolver
And like them dead flies in my window, I won't hear you buzzin'
Cos I'm a problem-solvin', sideways-walkin', funny-talkin', front porch-rockin', cold fly-swattin', fast draw kinda guy
